Youth Lessons

We understand that obviously everyone may not be able to make it to all the classes. The lessons will be made available for the youth who may miss a class. Parents, if you can't get your child out to church for some reason, get them to the computer and go over the lesson with them. The lessons are designed to piggy back and build off of each other and we want the youth growing together in the Word. We also hope that this helps those who have a willing heart to come but aren't necessarily able to.

Pastor's Parental Picks!

"Shepherding a Child's Heart", by Ted Tripp instructs parents on how to lead a child’s heart towards the gospel rather than a simple moralistic behavior. Before behavior changes, a heart has to change and that starts with the parents ability to exercise the gospel in their own lives, and in turn impart it to their child’s life.

"Gospel Powered Parenting", by William P. Farley eloquently and most importantly, scripturally explains why the Gospel is the best parenting guide for Christian guardians.

"Already Gone", by Ken Ham and Britt Beemer with Todd Hillard, discusses why churches are losing their youth. This informing study reveals:

  • Why America's churches have lost an entire generation of believers
  • The views of 1,000 twenty-something's, solidly raised in the church but no longer attending - and their reasons why
  • Relevant statistical data effectively teamed with powerful apologetics

Kicking off NOW: Youth Room Remodeling

Our youth have been planning to decorate their classroom for a long time and somehow we have never gotten around to it. Well, NOW WE ARE! We are asking you to donate anything in good condition (lounge chairs, bean bags, laptops). BIG thanks to Deacon Cherry, who has already committed a couch and love seat. We are also going to need paint and supplies, so if you have any of these things just collecting dust in your garage or storage, WE WANT IT! Any volunteers interested in this project should contact the Youth Ministry.
